How much do I apply?
You want enough coverage, especially in areas of concern. Our dropper tip gets right to the root for optimized delivery. Squeeze a small amount that you can then use your fingertips to work in and spread on your scalp. The product should absorb and dry down in a few moments similar to applying a serum or moisturizer to your face.
Do I have to wash my hair before putting this product in?
No, you don’t. If you aren’t someone who showers before bed, you can absolutely apply this to your dry scalp. (The serum dries quickly; we designed it that way to not add extra time to your evening routine.)
Can I apply it to wet hair?
You can. If you are someone who showers before bed, you can apply this to towel-dried, damp hair.
When will I start seeing results?
Most people start to see small hairs and densifying after three months of consistent use. Consistency is absolutely key – you’ll want to feed your follicles this serum on a daily basis, either in the morning or night, whatever works best for your routine.
Can I use this with topical minoxidil or other topical Rx products?
Ideally, no. Products need to absorb on the scalp and we don’t want multiple topicals conflicting with each other resulting in none of them doing their intended purpose (or causing a reaction). If you are using a daily topical minoxidil or other topical prescription that is a once-daily use, you can use that in the morning and use this in the evening (or vice versa).
Is there fragrance in this product?
No. There is no added fragrance in the RootSupport Densifying Serum.
We didn’t add fragrance in this serum for two reasons. First, we didn’t want any extra scents to disrupt your bedtime routine since you’re applying this at night. And second, fragrance doesn’t add efficacy to this formula. We only want the targeted ingredients we’ve carefully chosen impacting your hair and scalp – nothing more. (We do have a minimally-added natural fragrance in our shampoo and conditioner because those are rinse-out products and we feel that it adds to your overall experience.)
