What To Expect
After your PRP treatment, your head may feel fuller for several hours from the added fluid. A headache from the fluid/pressure is common; take Tylenol (acetaminophen) only for any discomfort.
Slight soreness, bruising, itching, or inflammation of the scalp for 24-36 hours is normal. Your scalp may appear pink or tender, like a light sunburn.
Continue to stay well-hydrated. Take a warm shower the evening after your treatment; if your treatment was within 8 hours of bedtime, avoid vigorous shampooing and just gently rinse your scalp/hair and pat dry.
Reach out if you have any questions.
Side effects and complications are very rare, but if you experience any pus-like drainage, a fever, or have severe pain that doesn’t respond to Tylenol and does not improve over 24-36 hours, please reach out immediately.
